Unimark views its R&D capabilities as a vital component of its business strategy that will provide a sustainable, long-term competitive advantage. Unimark is among the few Indian pharmaceutical companies in India to have started its research program in the 1995, in support of its global ambitions.

Unimark research center, one in Ahmedabad and Vapi covers over 25000 sqft, and provides a nurturing environment to a multi-disciplinary team of over 100 scientists striving for excellence. Both these centers are having dedicated facilities for generics and innovative research.

Unimark’s R&D strengths lie in developing intellectual property in non-infringing processes and resolving complex chemistry challenges. In the process, Unimark has also started to develop the new drug delivery systems, dosage formulations and applies new technology for better processes.
